Most people want a whiter smile, but it’s not just purely for esthetic reasons. Whiter smiles make people feel more confident and attractive. Whether you are just getting out into the dating world again or you simply want to feel and look your best when you smile, there is no better time to turn to the Narberth, PA, cosmetic dentists Dr. Ernest Dellheim, Dr. David Block, and Dr. Parampreet Chhina at Main Line Center for Dental Excellence for Zoom teeth whitening.

What is Zoom teeth whitening?

These professional teeth whitening system designed by Philips uses a highly concentrated bleaching gel to whiten smiles in under an hour.

Why do I need to whiten my teeth through my dentist?

While you certainly don’t have to, you won’t get Zoom teeth whitening outside of our Narbeth, PA, office or without turning to a dental professional. A major concern for most patients who are interested in whitening is teeth sensitivity. Luckily, Zoom technology is adjustable, so we can change the whitening intensity to fit each patient’s needs and sensitivities. This makes it easier for us to monitor your whitening progress and change the treatment around should you experience any sensitivity. This is something that you won’t be able to get with an at-home whitening system.

Plus, you can work with our dentists to get the whiter smile you want. We will continue to create and change your treatment plan to accommodate your needs until you are completely satisfied. Again, you aren’t going to get this from at-home whitening strips or brightening toothpaste.

What should I expect from the Zoom teeth whitening process?

We will first apply the bleaching gel to your teeth and then use a laser to activate the gel. This will take about 15 minutes, after which we will remove the gel and repeat the same process. We usually perform three, 15-minute sessions for a total whitening session of about 45 minutes.

How long will my results last?

This will depend a lot on you. If you avoid stain-producing foods and drinks, and you don’t smoke, then you should maintain a whiter smile for months or even years. Following a good oral care routine of brushing and flossing daily will also ensure that you maintain your new smile. Most results last about six months but can last up to two years.

Will Zoom teeth whitening work on all dental stains?

While our bleaching agent is strong, it doesn’t work on all dental stains. It fights surface or external stains that tend to cause yellow teeth. Internal stains caused by trauma or long-term antibiotic use are often blue or gray, and Zoom teeth whitening may be one way to lessen the appearance of these more challenging stains.

Zoom teeth whitening has offered many of our patients in Narbeth, PA, a beautiful, vibrant smile. Could it work for you?
